The thing that I've noticed is working well in this project that everyone is at least learning once new skill. Whether it be working with 360 cameras, programming, or 3D modeling, or money management, everyone by the end of this project will have acquired a new skill. However, the project itself does have some problems. For one, the setup of an economy within this project is a good idea because it helps students learn how to apply for jobs, be self advocating, and manage finances. However, I get the sense that the majority of students worries and attention (at least for the independent contractors) is focused on getting enough pay to get an A in the class. Additionally, the broken up class time is somewhat hectic because it affects the flow and assignment due dates of other classes and makes for an sometimes in-cohesive work schedule/environment. Unfortunately, it is too far into this project to make any changes. The best thing I would say to change this things is to fully plan out the project before it starts and not keep adding things on when it begins. Most of the things implemented would work if there was more time/better understanding of how the system works.
Some of the methods I like to use when I'm in a loud or distracting environment is listening to music(depending on the task). I also find it helpful to move to a more quiet location.
The terminology used by those in power can influence anything we do, say, think, or feel. They can use doublespeak to make something seem less worse than it actually is(i.e. military action), incite stigma in order to gain the upper hand on an opponent, and many additionally things. They can contribute good things like speaking out against hateful rhetoric, or expressing support for civil rights, but its not just politicians we need to worry about. The people around us, have a lot of influence, both good and bad on our lives. We need to be more weary on what people say so things like institutionalized racism/sexism/ageism/stigma begins to decline.
